Description: Self-administered postal stool sample to detect faecal occult blood. It is easier to manage, better than traditional tests for early detection of colorectal cancer and helps detect other colorectal abnormalities.

Faecal Calprotectin

 

Description: Self-administered stool test to detect increased levels of calprotectin, it can be analysed in a GP surgery or in a local lab, with results provided in less than a minute. Distinguishes between inflammatory bowel diseases (e.g. Crohn’s, ulcerative colitis) and non-inflammatory syndromes, allowing early effective management and reducing unnecessary colonoscopies.
