Health Innovation North West Coast is dedicated to the local, regional, national and international adoption of innovations.
Our Innovation Exchange provides an online forum for colleagues across the healthcare sector to share ideas, innovative solutions, projects and products to improve patient care. It showcases innovations and helps facilitate adoption.
In 2015 the Health Innovation North West Coast funded 25 new technology pilots which will be evaluated during 2016. Those showing positive impact on clinical outcomes and cost effectiveness will be supported to achieve wider scale adoption.
We have also been working with our members to implement evidence-based best practice locally and regionally. Health Innovation North West Coast supports the NHS Innovation Accelerator (NIA) programme which aims to create the cultural change necessary for proven innovations to be adopted faster and more systematically through the NHS. Health Innovation North West Coast mentors two of the NIA fellows which have both achieved adoption of their technologies - STOPandGO (Sustainable Technologies for Older People - Get Organised) a Public Procurement of Innovative Solutions (PPI) pilot aimed at improving the lives of older citizens.
