North West Leadership Academy Network Learning Event 2023

The Coaching Academy was proud to be part of the first North West Leadership Academy Learning Event for 2023.

The event, Coaching Essentials, was held at Haydock Park Racecourse on 29th June.

It saw around 50 coaches and mentors, along with coachees and mentees, gather for sessions focused on topical issues to enhance knowledge, skills, effectiveness and overall practice.

Head of the Coaching Academy, Jen Kohan, led a session on Restorative Practice.

The event was supported by the Coaching and Mentoring community and the Cheshire & Merseyside Coaching Community of Practice, hosted by the Health Innovation North West Coast.

The day was opened by Dawn Nisbet, Senior Associate Director for the North West Leadership Academy, who welcomed attendees before handing over to Becci Martin from Boo Coaching and Consulting for the plenary session on celebrating coaching achievements.

Then throughout the day, delegates had the option of attending a series of workshops: Coming back to Coaching; Anti Racism in Coaching; Conversation Tools; Coaching for Meaning and Purpose; Restorative Practice; Strengths: me at my best; Getting the Most from Coaching Supervision and Appreciative Inquiry.

Culture Camp

The Coaching Academy Culture Camp is a series of online events where we explore organisational culture, looking at wellbeing, equity and innovation as well as collaborative working across the system. The full videos of our excellent and high-profile speakers from past events are available on YouTube.

You will be able to catch up on three sessions:

  • On December 1 2022, Culture Camp focused on collaboration between the health and care sectors with fascinating insight from people working in the both areas of the system.
  • In August 2022, we welcomed nearly 200 people to discuss culture in the integrated care system, a timely topic, during a half-day online session.
  • Exploring organisational culture from the perspectives of wellbeing, equity and innovation was the topic for spring 2021. We presented a two-day online event discussing people and mind-sets, relationships and systems, and strategy and sutstainability. The second day was an 'unconference' sharing learning.
