Businesses in Cheshire and Warrington are to benefit from a new support programme that will help them promote their products and services to the NHS.

Excel in Health Cheshire is a series of educational workshops to help local businesses to better understand the NHS, develop business cases and pitch their products and ideas to the right people.

The programme is being delivered by the Innovation Agency along with partners Health Innovation Manchester and the University of Chester

Daniel Zamora, Health Innovation Manchester Commercial Programme Manager, said: “The NHS requires innovative solutions from SMEs to enhance health and care services for clinicians and patients. One of the challenges is connecting the right solutions with the right people to take them to the next level. The Excel in Health programme aims to support businesses to overcome this challenge.”

Indi Singh, Innovation Agency Commercial Programme Manager, said: “At the Innovation Agency along with our partners we have a great deal of experience in helping SMEs make the right connections in the health service. One of the key benefits for businesses is that our expertise helps them along the innovation pathway to avoid wasting valuable time.

“The Excel in Health programme will help local businesses develop a better understanding of the NHS as an organisation: its priorities, its culture and how procurement and commissioning work. The workshops will look at what makes innovations attractive to the NHS, and how to pitch your product or idea to experts.”

The programme of three Excel in Health workshops will take place on 5, 12 and 19 March at the Halliwell Jones Stadium. For more information visit the events pages of our website.
